Carbon Plantations are committed to developing engineered wood solutions for the construction industry and have already developed some key relationships with end market players in the exciting journey that lies ahead.

This past year has seen some significant milestones reached. The Euston Estates plantation produced some impressive growth metrics in excess of 4 metres over the 2023 season. In addition, we have successfully planted a further 188 hectares of Phoenix One® over June, July and early August, with minimal losses.

As we begin to move out of the Summer months towards Autumn, the visual appearance of the project has changed with many of the understory wildflowers losing their colour and beginning to look much less attractive.

As the trees enter their second year of growth at Euston Estates, and we have had more consistent precipitation, we are seeing the biodiversity of our project come to the fore, co-existing alongside our growing trees.

Despite the more inclement weather, a team of five planters has been busy planting 33,000 native mixed woodland trees either side of the festive period, in order to complete the final phase of tree establishment at Euston Estates. The whips were mainly sourced locally (within five miles), supplied by Rymer trees, and have been established into Forestry Commission-approved areas around the Phoenix One® plantation.
